Welcome to Noctaryn. By using the Noctaryn system, you agree to follow these rules. Failure to comply may result in a temporary suspension or permanent removal from the system.
Rule 1 — Respect
Treat every member of the community with respect. The following behavior is prohibited:
- Harassment
- Insults
- Hate speech
- Threats
- Discrimination
- Toxic behavior
Rule 2 — Fair Play
Play fairly at all times. The intentional use of bugs, glitches or unintended mechanics is prohibited. Examples:
- Exploiting HUD bugs.
- Exploiting object bugs.
- Exploiting scripting errors.
- Abusing unintended game mechanics.
Sanctions depend on the severity of the violation.
Rule 3 — Home Protection
A player’s home is a protected area. Attacking another player inside their home is strictly forbidden.
Penalty: Permanent Ban (No Warning)
Rule 4 — Work & Activity Protection
Players who are actively working, performing a professional activity or earning Linden Dollars must not be attacked. Protected activities include, but are not limited to:
- DJs while performing.
- Hosts while working at an event.
- Creators while working inside their store or workshop.
- Bloggers while taking photographs or creating content.
- Models while working.
- Performers or entertainers during a paid activity.
- Vendors, staff members or employees while performing their duties.
- Any player clearly engaged in an activity intended to earn Linden Dollars.
This protection applies only while the player is actively performing that activity. Using a job, store, event or activity as an excuse to avoid normal gameplay when no actual work is taking place is prohibited.
Penalty: PERMANENT BAN — NO WARNING
Rule 5 — Invisible Gameplay
Your avatar must always remain visible. If only your name is visible and your avatar cannot be clearly seen, you are considered invisible. Examples:
- Underground
- Inside walls
- Inside floors
- Inside objects
- Inside terrain
Penalty: PERMANENT BAN — NO WARNING
Rule 6 — The Masquerade
Noctaryn must remain secret. The following actions are prohibited:
- Talking about Noctaryn in Local Chat.
- Showing the Noctaryn HUD to non-members.
- Showing scan results to non-members.
- Revealing that another player is a Vampire or Lycan.
- Revealing another player’s Bloodline, Clan or House.
- Sharing confidential Noctaryn information.
Penalties: 1st Offense: 15-Day Suspension. 2nd Offense: Permanent Ban.
Rule 7 — Privacy
Information obtained through Noctaryn is private. Do not share:
- HUD screenshots.
- Scan results.
- Administrative menus.
- Character information.
- Bloodline, Clan or House information.
Violations are treated as Masquerade Violations.
Rule 8 — Impersonation
Pretending to be any of the following is strictly prohibited:
- The Architect
- A Black Angel
- Another player
Penalty: PERMANENT BAN
Rule 9 — Unauthorized Software
Using external scripts, HUDs or objects designed to interfere with or bypass the Noctaryn system is prohibited.
Sanctions depend on the severity of the violation.
Rule 10 — Ban Evasion
Using alternate accounts to bypass a suspension or permanent ban is prohibited.
Penalty: PERMANENT BAN
Rule 11 — Administration
The Architect and the Black Angels are responsible for enforcing these rules. Administrative decisions are final.
Rule 12 — Bug Reports
If you discover a bug, report it to the administration. Knowingly exploiting a bug instead of reporting it may result in sanctions.
Rule 13 — Investigations
The administration may investigate any reported incident. Evidence may include:
- Screenshots
- Videos
- Chat logs
- Server logs
False reports intended to harm another player may also result in sanctions.
Rule 14 — Responsibility
You are responsible for every action performed with your avatar and your Noctaryn account.
Rule 15 — Acceptance
By using the Noctaryn HUD or any official Noctaryn object, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and accepted these rules. Failure to comply may result in suspension or permanent removal from Noctaryn.
